Public holidays on timesheets

We're now showing public holidays in Zipwire. It's a remarkably unsophisticated solution to an old problem that causes many people to miss getting paid a few times a year.
People often accidently bill for time they didn't really work on public holidays. If caught by their approver, they have to correct and resubmit, else it's hopefully caught later by those processing the timesheets, otherwise the client loses out.
The problem is most acute when a public holiday is at the beginning of the month because, by the time most people submit their timesheets, they've long forgotten it. And by the time they've resubmitted another, perhaps tweaked their invoice and had it approved again, they've missed the pay window with their agency.

Simple but not easy
It feels strange to trumpet such a simple idea but there are two reasons why many will never benefit from such a feature.

A huge number of people still use a Word document for their timesheet, or physical paper. You'd have to create a document for every week or month and somehow distributed them and enforced their use.

Some staffing agencies have had their own portal made. The problem is that this one-off commissioned website will invariably lack features and rarely gets updated with new ideas. Moreover, there needs to be a way for non-technical folks at the agency to refresh the dates each year, and to set different dates for different countries, and manage the country for each login, or design a user profile feature.
That's it. A very simple but high impact new feature.
